We have been told that sixty percent of the world’s population can neither READ nor WRITE. It is hard to believe that so many people are “ignorant” of what is going on this world that affects all of our lives. There is an old adage that states – ‘Ignorance is bliss’. However, the truth is that ignorance is NOT bliss. The entrance of God’s Word gives Light. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God.

Heavenly Father, we pray for the millions of people who live in the grip of ignorance. These people that operate in doubts and fears, not because they are stupid, they just simple do not know about Your Ways, Your Righteousness, and Your Blood that was shed for the remission of all our sins. Lord Jesus, open the eyes of our hearts! Let us SEE what Jesus sees and let us HEAR what the Holy Spirit of the Living Resurrected Lord has to say to each one of us today. Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  Joshua 1:5-9

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I {the Lord your God} was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in the law which Moses My servant commanded you to do; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may you may stay true and prosper wherever you go.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you this before? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Word of God is TRUE! The Word of God is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. As we pray, we speak the words that Jesus spoke. We read these words in the Bible to confirm to our spirits that the ways of God are the same – yesterday – today – and forever! God’s relationship with each of us, does not change nor does it evolve. God created us for His Pleasure – Fellowship and Family Relationships. We ARE His Sons and His Daughters. God LOVES us with an everlasting LOVE.

We would do well to write down our own personal history of how Almighty God has intervened into our lives. Recall those moments when the Presence of the Lord was so real that His Spirit could be tasted, smelled, seen, or just that confident knowing that HIS PEACE will pass all of my understandings. Write down the situations and circumstances when you had the assurance of your salvation – that Christ Jesus our Lord died for all of my sins. Write down those impossible events that unless the supernatural happened, there would be no other way to survive another day. Write down what you felt about life when seeing a new born baby beginning life brand new.

Here is a thought to consider: Take your ability to read the written word and read the Bible out loud to someone that cannot read. Read one Proverb each day for a whole month. Read an old testament chapter each day and read a new testament chapter on the alternating days. Renew your mind with the Word of God daily. This will Bless your heart and your soul.

Amen and Amen!
