It has been said that ‘We can do no more than pray, until we have first prayed.’ This statement implies that once we have prayed, other events and things can be done. Often as we pray, we receive an impression of what we should do, once we have prayed.

So let us make PRAYER our first response and not our last resort on any matter.

Father God, today we pray for all of those people that have learned to ‘Call upon You’ for help in their time of need. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, may all of them that pray receive a revelation of what action steps that You want them TO DO, that will resolve the issues about which they have prayed.

Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  Romans 1:8-12

To all in Rome {in this world} who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace and Peace be to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world. God, whom I serve with my whole heart in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God's will the way may be opened for me to come to you. I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong - that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith.

Ladies and Gentlemen, two very important words in the Bible – Jesus PRAYED!

Jesus taught His Disciples to pray. Jesus as the Son of God, received some of what He knew from God through His prayer times, which was then followed by miracles, signs and wonders. The pattern is clear, Jesus would rise before dawn and go to a solitary place and communion with the Father. (Mark 1:35) Then Jesus and His Disciples would go about the “Father’s business” of teaching, and displaying the truths that were written in the Law and confirming everything that the prophets had written about Messiah who is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

When we pray about the things that Jesus is concerned about; when we get into agreement with the Word of the God and focus our prayers on what God says and does; then all of our prayers will be answered  - we have His Promise that whatever we ask in accordance with His Divine Purpose WILL BE DONE! ( John 17:1-26 )

Jesus is God in flesh now appearing, born that man no more may die: born to give sons of earth a second birth!  God and sinners reconciled! Who was pleased as man, with men to dwell – Jesus our Emmanuel!

Christ, by highest heaven adored – Christ the everlasting Lord – Joyful all ye nations rise, join the triumph of the skies; with angelic hosts proclaim – OUR GOD REIGNS!

Amen and Amen!
