We have been reminded by Jesus about the importance of Giving Thanks! Christ Jesus our Lord often expressed His Thanks to our Heavenly Father publicly. Let us do the same and at some point each day ALWAYS remember to be thankful.

Heavenly Father, we THANK YOU for our creation, our preservation, and all of the Blessings of this Life. We THANK YOU for the outpouring of help that is flowing into the nation of Haiti. Your Spirit has moved on the hearts of many and they have responded by DOING what Your Word says TO DO. THANK YOU Lord, for healing the broken hearted and ministering to those who have the greatest needs.  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is   Luke 4:16-19

Jesus went to Nazareth, where He had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day He went into the local synagogue, as was His custom and He stood up to read. The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. Unrolling it, He found the place where it is written:

"The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD."  (Isaiah 61:1-3)

Then He rolled up the scroll, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, "Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."

So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we should be like Jesus in all that we say and all that we do!

We should carry this attitude that “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me” – everywhere that I go!

We should teach the Good News that Salvation is possible with forgiveness of all sins.

We should take care of one another, encourage one another, and love one another.

We should work to liberate all of those that walk in darkness and are blind to the light of truth. Christ has redeemed all of us from the curse of our sin nature. We are made righteous in God’s sight because of what Jesus does – His Blood and His Prayers are for everyone of us.

We should proclaim the acceptable FAVOR of Almighty God in our lives today and everyday this year! His Grace is sufficient for ALL MY NEEDS.

With God, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!

Oh GIVE THANKS to the Lord God, Call upon His Name and make known His DEEDS among the peoples!

Oh GIVE THANKS to the Lord God, for He is GOOD, and His Mercies endures FOREVER!

We GIVE THANKS to You , Oh Lord God Almighty! You are “The One” who IS and who WAS and who IS TO COME, Because You have taken Your great power and You Reign in ALL THE EARTH.

Come and SEE what the Lord our God has DONE!

Amen and Amen!
